MUMBAI, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed lower on Thursday.
Market benchmarks failed to hold altitude and ended with losses.
The benchmark S&P, BSE Sensex closed at 49,624.76, 167.36 points or 0.34 percent down compared to its previous close at 49,792.12.
